Lazy Friday

I remember how back in college, Friday night was a failure if you stayed in.  Especially in Los Angeles, if you couldn't find a party to go to, a restaurant to try out, or an excuse to go walk around The Grove, you were obviously doing it all wrong.  Even in law school, I definitely know I spent more Friday nights at the movies than at home.  It just seemed like what you're supposed to do on a Friday night when you're in school.  Get out, be social.  Do stuff.

Now that I'm a working girl (not that kind of working girl), I find that I actually look forward to getting home from work and just relaxing.  No particular place to go, no one waiting for me to wash off 9 or 10 hours of work off of me in an attempt to look somewhat awake.  Tonight, all I did was come home, make some dinner, hit the gym for a surprisingly brisk 4 mile run on the treadmill, and then spent the rest of the night reading magazines and watching The September Issue (it is New York Fashion Week after all).  No parties, no late night drives home.  Just me, my magazines, a DVD, and my nice, soft couch.

The hustle and bustle can wait for Saturday...
